I recently upgraded after being prompted that a newer version was available.
I knew there was trouble when the service began deleting my subscriptions and refused to let me add them back
I got around that by not synchronizing those specific feeds.
But now I cannot post. This issue is not limited to the feeds I had trouble restoring. It applies to feeds that appeared normal after the upgrade.
I select a post and chose to post to selected topic. I can create my post but then get an error message when i POST.
Error Message: An unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to an instance of object.
I press continue. The error seems to relate to an inability to select the forum to post to. No forums appear in the list as they did before. Since I cannot select the forum, the post is not made.
Version: NewsGator Inbos v. 2.6.6.322 licensed and activated

I'm using Newsgator Inbox in Outlook. Drop-down menu.. Post to Weblog
Is that what you're asking?

FYI..
I have redownloaded the most recent version.
Tried both modify and repair the installation.
Still get the following error each and every time I try to post.

I press 'continue' and the newsgroup selection box is completely empty. Non of my feeds, including the selected post I am attempting to reply to are visible.

Actually, I'm trying to figure out which plugin for Inbox you're using to Post with. From the sound of it, it may be the NNTP plugin. Is that correct?

I'm feeling really stupid here. I bought, downloaded and installed NewsGator InBox.
In Outlook a nice drop down menu appears that says NewsGator InBox.. in the drop down list there is an item called Post to Weblog. That's what I use. When I look in the 'about' box it just tells the vesion number. 2.6.6.322
Last night I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping to solve my problems. The new symptons result in the "post to Weblog" being grayed out.
HOWEVER, I can double click a post and reply to it successfully. The post appears in its own window with a 'POST REPLY" button on the top left. Clicking on that gets me an email looking page with the 'post to' area filled in with the group that the post came from.
It's good I can reply.. but now I have no way to initiate a new thread.
I'm not the most experienced person with news readers. But this was working just fine for me until I upgraded as prompted.
Sorry to be so obtuse. I see no place to see what plug-in I may be using.

We need to tell NGI where to post when you use the Post To Weblog option. This was probably set up for you some time in the past, but when you re-installed it the setting would have been overwritten.- To start with, go to NewsGator Inbox > Options... > Posting - this is where we tell NGI where to post.
- If you are posting to a blog, choose Publisher plug-in v1.0.0 from the drop-down menu
- If you are posting to a newsgroup, Click the Find Plug-ins link then install the NNTP Posting Plug-in
- Once you have the correct plug-in selected in the drop-down menu, you can click [Configure...] to enter the relevent server and username information.
Hopefully that helps a little!

I'm replying to an old message since it appears to answer my question. However, when I bring up the posting options panel, it has no "FindPlugins link". I'm using Newsgator Inbox Version 3.0 Build 526 with Outlook 2007 SP1 on Windows XP.

The page that hosted the old plug-ins no longer exists, so the link was taken out. Which plug-in are you looking for?
