Hi,
I have successfully downloaded the application, but when I start the program it locks up my Blackberry and I have to power down the device. When I turn it back on, I have the following error message:
"Uncaught exception: Application Newsgator20en_1 6x16(140) is not responding; process terminated."
Any help would be appreciated.

| At the moment we have a theory that the download webpage is not detecting that the Pearl is a blackberry, and is giving you the wrong version of the application. Can you do this for me: Go back to the Download page on your pearl, and on the second line (directly under the NewsGator Go! line) It should tell you what device you are using. Can you tell me exactly what is says??

We have uncovered a problem with our servers. They did not recognize the Pearl as a Blackberry device. This problem affected to the Pearl only. As a result the servers fed our Java reader to all Pearl users instead of the Blackberry version.
We are asking all Pearl users that have been affected by this malfunction to install via the desktop.
Here is the link to the sync install page: http://freerangeinc.com/m/install_ngmw/install.html
Click on the NewsGator link under Blackberry and the download should begin automatically. It is a zip file. Extract the contents to your desktop or another convenient location and then migrate these files to the Pearl.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns by sending an email to support@newsgator.com and referencing case 87219.

I'm using the Pearl and it said I have the 'Java Version'... but it seems to work just fine with 2.1.9. Should I be worried? Reinstall anything?

The Blackberry OS is build on Java, so if it is working correctly I wouldn't be worried. If you are having trouble, make sur eyou get the Blackberry-specific version
