What are the chances of NNW being able to sync read items from Google Reader?

We think Google Reader is pretty cool, but we probably won’t sync with it in the near term. NetNewsWire syncs with the NewsGator online reader which has a faster and friendlier new version in beta right now. Going forward, NetNewsWire will be able to sync additional data with NewsGator Online to give features that aren’t available in Google (like seeing the most popular articles recommended for you based on what others are reading).

That being said, feedback from users is important to us. If we continue to hear this request, we’ll move it up the priority list for consideration.

If this could be done, I would be interested!  Just adding a vote in case anybody is counting.

I don't expect it to actually happen, but this would be fantastic. The whole idea behind RSS is to make it easy to pass around information in a timely and customizable manner. So linking NNW to newsgator and google would be appropriate.

Clearly this is one feature that I would really like to see as I tend to like Google's reader interface when I'm on a PC on which I can't install anything, but just love NNW on my mac ! The day this feature is available, I'll queue to buy the full version ! ;-)

I'll add my vote (in the absence of a poll on the subject) for syncing between NetNewsWire and Google Reader. I love NetNewsWire, but when I'm away from home, Newsgator's only real draw is the ability to sync with NetNewsWire. In terms of the core function of reading news, I find Google Reader to be a much closer match to the (fantastic) functionality of NetNewsWire. Newsgator, on the other hand, has just enough inconsistencies and not-quite-functional features to be annoying.

One of my biggest pet peeves is how Newsgator displays posts when a folder containing feeds (or more folders) is selected. Instead of showing the posts in order, it shows them by folder. Makes navigating the newest news rather challenging. Google Reader handles this correctly (or, at least, more like NetNewsWire).
