* * * I swear I saw another thread like this earlier but could not find it again. So I apologize for starting a new one. * * *
When I sync NNW 3 (latest version) the feeds are not updating as read/unread. So I'm "reading"/marking as read the same feeds twice (home and work). This is quite annoying. Feeds and tabs appear to be syncing, just not what's been read/unread between each computer. I've also tried deleting preferences and files from the server and still get the same result.
Any thoughts on this?
Also, like others have mentioned, it takes FOREVER to "sync" (which it's not even doing). I have almost 500 feeds and takes well over a hour to sync. Wasn't like this before with 2.x.x.

What type of syncing are you using??? NewsGator, FTP or .Mac??

| I'm having the same problem synching - using NNW3b10 & Newsgator syncing. I usually read feeds with Newsgator Mobile at work, or Newsgator online. But the feeds don't show as read on NNW at home on the Mac. However if I read on the Mac, they mark as read OK online. No Errors in the list, tried unchecking Sync, reloading etc... Any suggestions please?

| This is STILL a problem. Is this going to be addressed anytime soon? It's frustrating to have to go over my feeds twice to mark stuff as read that was already read.

| It's something we're definitely looking into, unfortunately we haven't been able to reproduce the problem here (which makes it hard to fix) If, after syncing, something that should be marked as read is still unread - can you check the Windows > Errors list and the console.app for any messages.

I am seeing the same problem with 3.0.1b11. There are no error messages in the errors window. In the console, the only error messages that appear are the following:
Jun 15 20:51:48 NetNewsWire: CMSCreateDataProviderOrGetInfo : Invalid colorspace type
Jun 15 20:52:13 NetNewsWire: CMSCreateDataProviderOrGetInfo : Invalid colorspace type
One thing that I have noticed is that it is only articles that I read today that do not get marked read when I open NNW on the other computer. If I read it yesterday, it gets marked as read.

Same problem here (3.01b12) with FTP syncing. I made a fresh new install (all nnw older files to trash), same problem, no sync.
Nothing in the errors list and the console.

I'd like to confirm this problem. I am currently using .Mac syncing and the read and flagged status is not being synchronized for many (maybe all) of the feeds. The only syncing that seems to work is that of the subscribe feed list.
Please let me know if I can provide more information to help reproduce the problem.

This should be resolve in NNW 3.0.1b14 and later. You can download the latest beta here.
