Bad news. FTP syncing is broken again in 3.0.1b15 (it worked for me with the b14.)

NewsGator syncing isn't working for me either. I'm using version 3.0.1b15/1145 of NNW. I have two copies of NNW on a laptop and desktop. I read through a number of feeds on my laptop, refresh it manually a couple times to make sure, and close it. I then open up the copy on my desktop, wait for it refresh, and the read/unread status has not updated. If I look in NewsGator online (beta), it also appears that none of the read/unread status has changed. Changes to my subscriptions, like adding, deleting, or reorganizing the feeds in groups did sync correctly though. At first I thought I might be expecting the sync to happen too quickly, so I also tried waiting a few hours after I closed one copy of NNW before opening the other, but got the same result.
This happens for any feeds, ones from big publishers like the New York Times and Wired to little ones from small blogs and custom searches. I don't know if this means anything, but when I close NNW on either machine, the screen that says it's updating the read status on NewsGator flashes only briefly and doesn't seem like it did anything.

OK, Can I get you to do some specific testing for me:- Read some stuff in NNW
- Do a Sync (Refresh)
- Leave NNW open, and log into NewsGator using a browser (you can use NNW's built in one if you like)
- See if the changes have happened
- If they have not, can you check the Window > Errors List for and messages
- Not try manually refreshing just one feed (Ctrl-click > Refresh)
- Check if that feed got updated online
- Check the errors list for errors again.

| Okay, I opened NNW on my laptop, read one group of feeds, refreshed manually, then checked online. Those feeds were updated properly, and no errors were reported. I did the same thing again for a second group of feeds, reading 4 items, and refreshed again manually. This time, the unread count for that group went down by 4, but many more remained unread. Refreshing one of these feeds individually didn't change anything, but again no errors were reported. When I opened up my second copy of NNW on the desktop, none of these changes were synced, and no errors were reported.

In the 3.0.1b15 the Errors window lists lots more syncing errors (if they happen).
Do you see any errors listed in the Errors window?

OK, Let's get some Debug info:- Quit NetNewsWire if it's running.
- In Terminal, copy-and-paste the following and hit return:
defaults write com.ranchero.NetNewsWire showDebugInfoPane 1 - Launch NetNewsWire. Select a feed which is not syncing properly, then hit cmd-I to open the Info window.
- Expand the Debug pane (click the triangle).
- Copy the "NGSyncAtts" and "Data Items" text into an email (or forum post, whatever) so we can see what's going on.
