I just installed the smartphone version of Newsgator Go (version 1.1.2.16525) on my HTC Cavalier (wm6) and when I try to input my username/password to set it up, the device just beeps at me and doesn't recognize characters that I enter.  For some reason, the fields are taking symbols (e.g., *, @, <space>, etc.), but not text or numbers.

probably a stupid user problem, but any idea what's wrong?

Thanks!

edit: doing some more testing, I'm finding that the keys on the keyboard are not responding correctly within Newsgator Go.  For example, if I press H on the keyboard, the cursor goes up to the previous field - if I press N on the keyboard, the cursor goes down to the next field.  I'm not finding this in the other WM apps on the phone

edit2: interestingly, if I press and hold a key on the keyboard down, the corresponding symbol is entered into the input field - almost as if the function key is enabled.  doesn't work for the numeric keys (activated by using the function key), but does for the other keys...

wondering if this is a WM5 vs WM6 app issue...

edit3: looks like others are reporting input problems on this device with other apps like MS Live Search , WorldMate, Yahoo Go, so the problem isn't specific to Newsgator Go - but, I don't care about the other apps and just want my NG Go working...      so, any ideas would be appreciated.

Keith,

Any word as to why this may be happening?   I'll check out the new beta when it is released and let you know how it goes.

I do not have an update for you. The developer has been very busy with this new beta that is nearing its release date and has not had the time to respond to this.

I do apologize for this inconvenience, but it is my hope that the beta will resolve the problem.
