I would love love love it if I could configure an "anti-watch" that would automatically mark any post that contained a specific word or phrase as read. Case in point - iPhone.
I could see this being per-feed/folder/all, though I'd be happy with applying it to all if that was the only choice.

Am I getting the right impression here? Do you mean you're not interested in reading about the iPhone, Jack? I do see what you mean, though.

All kidding aside, there are a few places where I don't mind reading about it - Nick's blog, for example - which is why I think something like this would need to have granularity (feed/folder/all).

| I've been thinking about this, and I don't know if Nick would go for it, but I'd really like to see an “Advanced” type button or tab in the watch dialog that allowed watches to also do actions. It would make them more powerful like Outlook rules. Ie: Watch .. .. Current Watch Rules .. Advanced: With Original Post [] Mark as Read [] Delete [] Flag With Watch Post [] Mark as Read [] Delete [] Add to News Bin [News Bin selector] If you could also choose the feeds/folders that the watch ran against, (which has been suggested a couple of time) this would be REALLY powerful @Jack I've added a feature request with both your suggestion and mine (103071) - I'll pressure Nick and see what I can bend his arm to do thoughts/ideas??

Just followed the link over from here. I'd forgotten about this one.
I'm not a fan of doing anything to encourage deleting, though it's certainly less of a problem with synched feeds. But all of the other actions make pretty good sense to me. I'd still like granular control if it's at all doable. Maybe that can be done with the existing Watch config though, if I include the feed name or URL, for example.
And I'm still sick of iPhone posts which are even worse now that I've got my MBP so I'm subscribed to tons of Mac-specific feeds.
