| Hello! I hope I've placed this post in the right place! I'm hoping you can help me resolve the issues I'm having... I'm on the Editors Desk trying to create a widget. I've selected content, then set the design (although I'm not able to see anything in the preview window) and then copied the snippet of code into my webpage(I still can't see anything within the preview window on this page either) Finally I click done and move to a manage titled Manage and receive this error "Error parsing template:[object Error]" Can anyone help? Many thanks Jason

Hi jobtrain,
I found one Editor’s Desk account with “jobtrain” in the email address. I’m assuming this is yours. All of the widgets in this account are currently populated with content. Let me know if this would not be the correct account, or if you have removed the problematic widget or feed.
Otherwise, here is what could be going on (it is fairly common).
If you add a feed into a widget that NewsGator does not already have indexed in its database, then it gets put into the queue of feeds for us to go find content for. We have something on the order of tens of thousands of feeds indexed, new feeds proceed to the back of the line. Obviously it takes time to get through this list of feeds. Specifically it takes us about an hour to go out to each feed on the list and parse it for new articles. If you’ve added a new feed to our system through a widget, there are also caching schemes on our web servers, and on your browser, that can extend even further (45 min max) the amount of time it takes for you to begin seeing articles in the web page that you’ve put your widget on.
Is this at all consistent with what you experienced?

| Hi Dan, I've returned to the Editor's Desk to check the status of the widgets I setup yesterday but when I click the manage tab I still see the parsing error and don't see any option to edit the widgets. You mentioned that you can see the widgets and that they're showing as populated, is this from your administrator view? Jason,
Nope, no special magic super secret "administrative" view. I located your credentials, and logged in as you via a web browser. I'm not getting any error messages from the Manage page. I tried with I.E. v6, Firefox v2, and Safari v3.
If you can tell me what browser and version you're using, and what sequence of clicks/keystrokes you are puting before the error that would be great. I'm just logging in, which takes you to the manage page first, so if there are additional steps to get to the error, let me know and I'll see if we can find and fix the problem.
Thanks for your patience on this.
