As of this morning (29 September, London, England), links to NYT RSS feeds have stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this, and is it a NYT or a NNW problem?
Thanks,
Fortinbras

Same here. I have discovered that by deleting the part of the URL starting with the "?" just after the .html, but deleting not just the visual part of the address but past the end of the address box, I can correctly reload the page. A huge nuisance.
Deleting just the visual part of the address after the question mark leads to a message from NYT stating something about RSS feed problems.

NYT seems to be working today. Let me know if you are still having an issue.

| Tonight things seem strange again - can't open the links directly in NNW's browser or Safari, but they work when pasted over. Very odd.

What are the feed URLs that are giving you trouble. I am subscribed to the home page and to the opinion page and am not seeing any problems. You may be subscribed to the same content but the feed itself may be a bit different. Sites often have multiple feeds for the same content.

I'm having trouble with these among the ten or twelve NYT feeds I'm subscribed to:
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/WeekinReview.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Technology.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Arts.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Magazine.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/NYRegion.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Theater.xml
Some links are working in these feeds:
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Opinion.xml
All links are working in these feeds:
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/International.xml
http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/National.xml
http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/atom.xml

I am having the same problem with the NYT Opinion feed. The feed is fine, but NetNewsWire will not display the linked pages. Right clicking and opening the link in FireFox works fine. I get the following error message:
Error: ‘timed out’
NetNewsWire can’t open the page ‘http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/03/opinion/03friedman.html’ because of an error: timed out.

I am finding that some of the NYT feeds need their address edited, others don't. For instance, from today's feeds, all the "National" items I clicked on displayed OK, but the "Arts" item I chose did not.
example: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/03/arts/television/03stan.html?ex=1349150400&en=116ade785088e50c&ei=5088
&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
Yesterday produced several items that did not display, for instance:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/02/business/media/02cbs.html?ex=1349064000&en=f8b3cabbf9759a30&ei=5088
&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/02/world/americas/02briefs-blood.html?ex=1349064000&en=47e85c6b87c75b14&ei=5088
&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/02/nyregion/02burial.html?ex=1349064000&en=ee5164375d56b562&ei=5088
&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/02/health/02book.html?ex=1349064000&en=5d30512879691e42&ei=5088
&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
As you can see, they are from a variety of feeds, World, Business, Health and National.
As I mentioned earlier, removing the part of the url after the .html makes the news item display OK.

| We are unable to reproduce the problem. Every item in every New York Times feed we have checked works perfectly. Some questions: 1. Are you syncing or not? If so, which kind -- NewsGator or .Mac/FTP? 2. Are you always using an external browser, or does the problem also appear when opening in NetNewsWire's browser? 3. How are the pages being opened -- right-arrow, return, click on link in description view, toolbar button, or...? 4. Does it clear up the problem if you: 1) unsubscribes from one of the not-working feeds, then 2) re-subscribe to that feed? (In other words, it could have been a temporary glitch in the NYT feeds.)

The problem may have gone away. This morning I opened every item in my numerous feeds from NYT and every single one opened OK.
In case it happens again though, answers to your questions:
1. I am NOT syncing.
2. I use NNW as my browser (except for windows that open when I search using iSeek, which does not appear to speak to NNW).
3. I use the space bar to move to each unread feed, then the return key to open the page.
4. Since the problem does not currently exist, I am going to assume it was a temporary glitch at the NYT.
FYI, my use report shows as follows:
