| I have an RSS feed with multiple categories in it. If I want to have a feed created that shows only stories from a particular category, is this easy to do in the editor's desk? I'm new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated! The tagging is very simple as <category>category name</category> thanks!

| Hello, Our system picks up standard RSS items, such as post title and description. Category tags are not included in the standard RSS spec, and so they will be ignored. In Editor's Desk, if you'd like to control what articles are shown in a particular widget, simply click on the "Manage Articles" icon next to the widget (within the "Manage" section). This interface allows you to hand-pick what is shown for the RSS feed. You may also note that when adding content to a new widget in Editor's Desk, the interface already provides a great amount of categorized material. By selecting from the NewsGator Content dropdown box, you are guaranteed to see the most current articles specific to whatever category you'd like to see. However, if by “I have an RSS feed with multiple categories in it,” you mean that this is a feed that you personally publish and control, you could always publish multiple category specific feeds, and build one widget around each category.
