I tried to update the RSS url and now the news aren't displaying anymore on my site.  I have a google groups RSS feed and I'm aware of the privacy settings that prevent the widget from accessing the feed.

I've set it to "Anybody Can View Content" but no luck.

Hey again Kismet,

As it turns out, Google will intermittently block our servers from retrieving content. This is why no posts are showing up for you. Our team has tried contacting Google support for a resolution but as of yet there isn't a way for us to keep these feeds updated.

I have this issue as well although with me I have my clippings feed running into two widgets which have not updated for 3 weeks despite the clippings feed updating pretty quickly when fed directly into my tumblelog. It seems the widgets are just broken and are not updating.

What's the deal?

Hi Paul,

You might want to check that your clippings feed was added to your widget as custom content (the second option, "Choose Your Own Content," of the Content tab in Editor's Desk) and not dynamic content (the third option). It is quite common for users to do this, and unfortunately having a feed as dynamic content will not place it in our system as being "subscribed" to; therefore, it will not update. Let me know if this change helps and if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the tip Jenny. I just made the change, I'll wait a little bit and see if the widget updates.
