The blog author is what is popping up after the post title on the widget, up until a week ago, it was the blog title. I'm wondering why this happened? www.citytransit.blogspot.com

We did recently make a change to our default widgets to show the author's name rather than the feed name. This change was made around January 8th.
If your widget is newer than that you would have gotten the new design. If your widget is older than that, but you went into Editor's Desk after January 8 and changed the design by selecting a different format, like switching from "Headlines with summary" to just "Headlines", you would have also picked up the new default design with this change.

Are either of these the case with the widget on your blog?

Neither of those is true. I've been using the widget for about a year now. If I build a new widget will it change back?

Then I really don't know this change managed to get into your widgets. But how that happened doesn't really matter. What really matters is getting your widgets fixed up so they work the way they did before.

If I build a new widget will it change back?

No. Any new widgets you create will exhibit the new behavior of showing authors instead of feeds.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket for you on this. The case number is 127238. Send mean email to our support team with "(Case 127238) " somewhere in the subject line. In that email I will need you to provide me with either the organization code or the email address you use when logging into your account. We'll just pick things up from there.
