Hello,
I have FeedDemon installed at home and at the office so I can keep up to date on my feeds when I'm working or at home. However since the last 2 or 3 weeks I've noticed that syncing doesn't work 100% anymore.
I read some feeds at work, mark them as read, close FeedDemon and it says it's syncing. Then I get home, start FeedDemon and see a lot of articles in feeds I marked as read at the office.
It doesn't appear to go wrong for all articles, but a lot of them slip through it seems.

| Same is happening with me more and more. I love FeedDemon, but I'm losing time rather than saving it due to this syncing issue.

Hi,
I have the same problem. Currently I have a lot of items appearing as unread also I already received them in another FeedDemon instance.
I'm using FeedDemon on 3 machines and NewsGator Mobile from my Treo (via Opera Mini). I've completly ditched NewsGator Online. If I need to access NewsGator from a PC that has no FeedDemon installation I also use NewsGator Mobile now. I just don't like this Ajax stuff in NewsGator Online. NewsGator Mobile is much better, slick and fast, and at least a little bit more reliable.
But currently my biggest request is a realiable synchronization feature.

The Aussie news feeds do not seem to be updating at the source. If you put the XMLURL into your browser you will see the feed is up to date with what content is available. I would contact the feed host to inform them of this problem.
For any other issues, please pass the feed URL for testing.

For me the problem appears in several feeds. But they are not constantly out of sync only sometimes.
For example yesterday evening I had a lot of unread items (in several feeds), I definitely had already read at work.
On the other today everything was in sync. I have no idea when and why it happens but when it happens it's a real timekiller. I somehow have the feeling that FeedDemon is not the problem but the NewsGator platform beneath it.

Hi Keith,
I'm not sure what you mean by 'not updating at the source'. As you state, when I paste in the AM (http://www.abc.net.au/news/subscribe/amrss.xml) URL feed into my browser, I see that the last entry (as of now) is from 17th April... so how come this isn't updated in Feeddemon or Newsgator Online and there I only see 15th?
Is there something else about the xml feed/embedded that I don't understand? The pubDate tag is updated, so why isn't Feeddemon?

| It's not that the feeds aren't being updated. It's that when I mark items as read on one computer, some of then appear unread at my other computer after syncing. Only after I do a full 'resync' in FeedDemon are the states the same again. The feeds themselves update just fine.

Hi,
I just had the problem again. A lot of items appeared at unread also I already read them over the day.
I'm curious if this problem is handled as a bug by Newsgator or is just ignored? For me this is a great annoyance and it seems that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Should I file an official support request? Currently I'm still a paying subscriber.
Regards,
Martin
