I am using FeedDemon to gather articles on a specific topic. I am subscribed to direct feeds, aggregated feeds, and performing a keyword search. Obviously the keyword search occasionally finds some of the articles on feeds I am already subscribed to. This should be an easy fix.
I also subscribe to aggregated feeds that sometimes include articles in feeds I am directly subscribed to, and are keyword hits.
Reduction of the duplicates would be much appreciated.

Right now we don't have a reliable way to do this, but reducing the number of duplicate items is certainly something we are trying to improve upon.

with a plugin architecture, a simple and progressive diff could be first: compare title and description.

I could also really use something to detect and delete duplicates. In order to make it flexible it would be good if we could specify the rules for duplicate detection ourselves. Think about things as:
- mark as duplicate if same title and description are the same (or any other selection of possible fields)
- detect duplicates across feeds vs. within a certain feed
- if detect duplicates across feeds is active, then which version should be kept?
