Hi there,
since approximately one week, I do have the problem, that newly opened tabs aren't saved.
I do have one dozen tabs open yet and they do reload every time I open FeedDemon, but potential newly opened tabs aren't saved (!) and/or re-opened. As I suspected, when I close FeedDemon, it doesn't take the time to save the current situation, as it normally does while displaying a pop-up with a progress-bar.
Instead, FeedDemon closes instantly! But it also sometimes seems to reside in the processes / RAM I had to learn, as there was a error message / hint, when I tried to reopen FeedDemon via the Startmenu.
I also assume that this behaviour might be caused by a single tab, that somehow interferes with new ones??
I'm really unhappy with this issue, did it ever occur to you or is it ironed out in any beta version?
Kind regards.
*edit* As I have written this post, it partly worked again! (one new tab reappeared, but one old disappeared!) *strange*
What also came to my mind: Is there any tab number maximum?!

We would like to know if this bug exists in the latest beta version. Can you please give it a try? The current beta is RC2 which is pretty much the final release. You can find it here.
FYI: The maximum number of tabs allowed is currently set to 25.

That's seems to be it! Just why? It seems, this wasn't the case in the past?? (I use FeedDemon since 1.x)
It always did cut the tabs at around tab 25. But why don't I get a warning message?? Or why isn't this noted anywhere?
CURRENTLY in usage mode, you can open more than 25 tabs, don't you? Because currently, I have 30 tabs opened.
Kind regards.
PS: Why should I test the beta, when the problem is caused by your restriction?

How about to make sure that you don't see the problem in the newer version? It's in Release Candidate status which means that you have a chance to see if the problem occurs and can be fixed before it goes final.

The problem is, that all tabs after tab 25 are closed. You said: "This is the way, we restricted it."
So from your point of view, this isn't a problem, it's just normal. Or a feature maybe.
Or did I get you wrong, and you don't mean to close already opened tabs?
Please (then) provide more information how you implemented the 25 tabs restriction and what it implies practically!!
Of course, although I do really like to help and test, I use FeedDemon (as you can see) so heavy, I don't want to potentially lose any data. Expect the fact, I don't have neither the time, nor the knowledge to "test" beta systematically. I'm just a normal end user (giving a lot of feedback all the time you see ) but no developer.
PS: Maybe you could make the tab number restriction configurable in the FeedDemon Options? Or would this cause serious performance problems, if massively exaggerated?
