it's been some months i use synced FD day-to-day and i feel it as slower than in unsynced mode.
it seems nearly every change make an external request like adding an item to a clipping, adding a feed, ...
i understand ngo is more strict than FD but why not put an option in FD (and NNW) to be as strict as ngo, so you can sync with ngo only when you want and not on every action ?

I've suggested before that Nick fire off NGO tasks in the background like eclipse does for lengthy operations, I think he logged a feature request for it 
Please note that I am not actually employed by NewsGator, and my opinions should not be taken as their official stance on any matter. I'm just a happy FD user (since pre-1.0 alpha in 2003) helping out where I can.
