| I'm curious what the announcement of NetNewsWire via the App Store means for the current NewsGator iPhone reader? Are you guys discontinuing development of this and just keeping one iPhone version or will both continue to be developed?

I can't speak for NG on this since I'm no longer on the inside, but I'll still venture a guess (whatever that's worth).
The current iPhone reader is just a low-bandwidth webpage viewable in any browser. The app just announced at WWDC is a native iPhone app. Development on one shouldn't preclude the other, especially since their will probably be plenty of 1st gen iPhones out there for a little while, even though the upgrade is free.
That said, I wouldn't expect to see lots of (any?) bells and whistles to be added in the web-based app. Which is kind of disappointing because I use it quite a bit when I'm on a computer that I can't/don't want to install FeedDemon or NetNewsWire on. I like how lightweight it is. The only thing that's missing is the ability to mark individual posts as read.

uh first gen iPhones will run NNW mobile just fine. What do you think it was developed on?
Please note that I am not actually employed by NewsGator, and my opinions should not be taken as their official stance on any matter. I'm just a happy FD user (since pre-1.0 alpha in 2003) helping out where I can.
