| I am trying out FeedDemon and Newsgator Inbox. I get 4000 +/- items a week and have to filter for relevance to my work. When I read RSS feeds in Outlook it was ridiculously easy to filter in accordance with a rule. How do I use (can I use?) Outlook rules to manage Newsgator Inbox? There is a rule in Outlook to move specified rss feeds with specified words in the subject/body to a specified folder. You can also move messages from a specific person in the same way. There is no obvious way to do this with items in NewsGator Inbox. Am I missing something?

You can use rules the same way except you'll need to run them manually. Setup your rule, then run it on the NewsGator Inbox base news folder and tell it to process sub folders as well.

| So I would have to run the rule manually each time and it could not be limited to particular feeds? (Unless I suppose I put all the necessary feeds in one folder, which would mess up arrangemnts on other locations). If so then it looks like FeedDemon is marginally more functional and neither is as functional as Outlook RSS where you can run rules automatically and only on selected feeds. Pity. Thanks for the help.
