I'm using NNS 3.1.6 on OS X 10.5.4.
I have feeds organized in a certain way on my home machine. At work I sync the
feeds and they are organized differently. For example, the new feeds are placed at
the very bottom of the list. If I re-order the feeds on my work computer and sync,
then the feeds will be out of order when I next update my home computer. How
can I get sync to work as I think it should?
Thanks,
Rich

| I'm not sure I understand -- you have your feeds in different orders on different machines? Syncing should make the orders coincide. Is that not what you want?

Yes, you are correct. Let's say that at home I add a feed and place it in a particular folder. The next day I'm at work and I start NNW. What I find is that the new folder is there minus the feed that I added at home the day before. The new feed will appear at the bottom of the list. If I correct the problem on my work computer, then later I will find that the order of the feeds on my home computer is incorrect. It usually takes a few rounds of syncing before things are the way I want them on both machines. I find this behavior very odd. Am I missing some setting in preferences? I hope what I've described is clearer now.
Thanks,
Rich

I have a similar problem - my Mcbook Pro is my primary NNW machine but occasionally I use Newsgator, my iMac and more recently NNW on the iPhone.
However, no matter how often I reset my iMac, or update news status items on my MBP, there is always a difference between all the different clients.
Just now, for example, after updating news status on my MBP an hour ago, I opened NNW on my iMac, went to sync preferences and 'started over'. But there are some dead feeds still there, and a new blog I subscribed to is showing 6 items unread which were actually read last night...
Mmmm... annoying the *** out of me

| Interesting, why is the 'h' word, the place the Devil lives, converted to asterisks in my last post? That's a bit OTT isn't it?

Ha! Just checked the "Bad word filter" for the forum, and there were some pretty tame ones in there... I got rid of them. You should now be able to say hell.
Anyway, just to clarify - Manual sort order does not sync. In fact no sort orders sync at this time. You need to set them on each machine.
