| I want to subscibe to this feed: http://www.myeclipseide.com/rss_nn.php This feed opens in the browser window and automatically the subscription wizard is started. I have "check for problems..." activated and when clicking "Next" it tells me it can't download from the URL and to check the address. What's wrong ?

Throwing the feed in Feed Validator it looks like this feed requires a username and password.
The way it's behaving sounds like they might be using cookie-based authentication - definitely a bad idea for RSS aggregation.
Try going to the page inside FeedDemon's browser, then subscribing in a non-synced folder.

| So far no luck adding it. I can add it without the "Check for problems" option into a non-sync folder, but it will not update. The link to the feed is available from the main paga at www.myeclipseide.com. And when clicking it from there from the FeedDemon browser window the web browser is opening it. And will invoke the wizard. I can add it as feed in IE7. Haven't tried another feed reader yet though.

Is it possible they're dropping the 403 based on User Agent string? ie, if it's not a Firefox, IE, Safari or Opera UA, it's blocking the request?
I'm not seeing any username/password request when I bring up the URL listed in the OP and it displays fine in either of my browsers, but I get errors trying to add it to a synched OR non-synched folders OR NewsGator Online - all give me the 403-Forbidden errors for this feed.
