Hello

I'm wondering about selector order. In Topstyle Pro 3.509, it only puts the body tag at the top, in one of those three choices, but I thought it was SUPPOSED to be at the top always?

Thank much

Al Guevara

Hi Al,

Sorry to be dense, but I'm not sure which area/feature in TopStyle your question pertains to.  Could you ask again with some more details?

Thanks,

Options | options | Style Sweeper | Edit | TopStyle Default | Edit | Selectors | Selector Order

Im simply wondering why the postion of the body tags changes in each one, when I thought (correct me Im sure Im wrong) the * body {} selector
ALWAYS goes on top?

Thanks Nick

Ah!  OK, you're referring to the Style Sweeper.  Yes, it probably is good practice to have the BODY selector first, since the BODY's style affects everything beneath it.  It might make sense for me to add an option which always sorts BODY to the top, regardless of which selector order you've chosen.

Now one of those options, I forget which one, DOES put the body tag at top, but it seems kinda obvious that its not required/necessary, since you didnt code the software that way? I mean its not a mandate at Wc3 or anything?

Thanks Nick
