Couldn't find feedback/bug report page to post a bug report with attachments so I'll post links.

Two problems popping up a fair bit recently:
1. NNW iPhone crashes out fairly frequently lately, generally when dealing with rendering or downloading some kid of media object or image. I've posted the crash logs and the Backup extraction to my iDisk. I took a quick peek at the crash log files and they didn't seem to have too much pertinent information - perhaps there's another set of files I should look for?

2. Sometimes, I notice that after a refresh of the feed list there's a clear difference between the number of unread feeds noted at the bottom (and the badge icon) is clearly fewer than the number of unread feeds shown in the list. No simple pattern seems obvious as to why and when this happens.

Cheers,

Erik

I worked out why the unread count doesn't match a couple of months ago, hopefully Brent has a fix coming

Please note that I am not actually employed by NewsGator, and my opinions should not be taken as their official stance on any matter. I'm just a happy FD user (since pre-1.0 alpha in 2003) helping out where I can.

Ooops - I come by here rarely and had already cleaned out the files from the iDisk. However, I have a colleague here with similar (and potentially worse problems).

His situation is that he simply loses feeds from the iPhone version. I just did a test doing the following.

Deleted NNW from the iPhone
On NNW, Reset the syncing by pushing up to Newsgator
Installed NNW iPhone
Logged into the Newsgator account
Initial sync appeared to work OK with the following exception: unread articles on the desktop showed 528 articles, while the iPhone showed only 383.

Next action - read one article and exit from the iPhone application
Reload the iPhone NNW and we are now missing an entire folder and a few feeds from another folder.

Current screen shot from iPhone:

Current screen shot from the desktop:

The feed hierarchy is simple, with one level of folders containing feeds.

If you could email me any instructions for gathering the most useful files for helping you debug that would be great. eableson at mac dot com.

Cheers,

Erik

Thanks! The screenshots are most helpful. I have everything I need to be able to debug it. (I'm pretty I know what's going on, and a possible fix is already in the in-development version here in the lab.)
