I am trying to create a video widget and for some reason the video is not displaying nor are the thumbnails.

Anyone know why?

well, the feed isn't valid, for one thing:

But the bigger issue is that there are no MediaRSS tags or enclosure links that point to videos.

Per the Newsgator Widgets Wiki on video:

The HasVideo(Post) function checks an article post for the presence of either a MediaRSS video object, or an EnclosureURL that links directly to a video.

It looks like that they're using the Link element rather than embedding the video in the feed via MediaRSS or the enclosure tags so you have to load their player (and the player looks to only work with IE - if I click on the links in Firefox/Google Chrome, I get taken to the homepage rather than get the player). The enclosure URL is pointing to an image, not the video either. So the problem is with the feed you're using.
