While I primarily use Windows Mobile and Full web versions of Newsgator I do find the mobile web version very useful, both on the go and also behind corporate firewalls where the main web interface doesn't always work well, so here are some feature requests:
1) Please add display of 20 posts at a time when viewing an individual feed items
On my mobile device with many of my feeds having embedded images my Windows Mobile device can actually consume or even exhaust my device's memory capacity when displayed in Pocket IE.
2) Add Clipping ability to mobile web version
Obviously frequently asked for, happy to have just a link call 'Add to clippings' then it displays 2nd page with links of my clipping folders. Just click the right link and job done. Ideally would return to same original feed and item location and change text to say it's clipped, but if not, then just OK and manually clip 'back' twice on device would still be useful and appreciated
3) Ability to toggle individual post's read status
Currently even worse when results are not paginated so via mobile I might get 200 posts, and can only mark All or None read via mobile interface!
Would be great if you could toggle read status of posts 1 by 1.
If you do bring in 20 item pagination could you add 'Mark all read on this page' as per main web interface?

4) Allow preference to use Google Optimiser when following full post links
As per NewsGator Go on WM would be great if at the bottom of the main page there was a drop down with something like:
Follow links: Optimised/Non-optimised
If a user sets Optimised then the website sets a user cookie to remember the setting and then all external links get feed through Google Optimiser to work better on small screen and small memory devices.

Just wondering if there's been an progress or planned development on the non-iPhone m.newsgator.com portal since I posted these suggested feature requests back in January?
I feel that at the very least the breaking feeds up into 20 item chunks should be pretty easy? When you've got a feed with potentially 50-200 unread items in it (some feeds I check much less often than others) Pocket IE on WM can't handle rendering the page as too be fair it's massive!
For example a 199 item feed from Joystiq (which includes headline images), checked today for me, weighs in at:
Raw HTML = 220 KB (634 KB uncompressed)
347 Images = 7,916 KB
Over 8Mb page size!
Obviously even if that renders okay in a mobile's browser 8Mb is a huge amount of data even for those on an 'unlimited'* data plans where there's very little chance that you'll get to read all those items in that 1 page load (and you can't selectively set them to 'read' anyway)
Obviously iPhone gets all the current buzz for mobile browsing, but look at the market share's and Nokia + Windows Mobile far exceed iPhone users, so hope you haven't forgotten about this side of your mobile online reader?

(I also often use the m.newsgator.com version of your site in my desktop browser (so thank's for allowing that) as my company firewall blocks parts of the full online reader, making it pretty much unusable)

| I've been watching this post as an RSS feed for a few weeks and I've just joined the forum to add more weight to this request. When dealing with large feeds I sometimes use the iPhone version of the mobile web reader http://m.newsgator.com/iphone.aspx because it allows some of these features, however it's very awkward to use on my WM device because it doesn't format the pages properly and doesn't return to the original page or refreshing when clicking links 1) Please add display of 20 posts at a time when viewing an individual feed items - Agree completely 2) Add Clipping ability to mobile web version - iPhone version only allows clip/unclip, no selection of folder, but this is enough for my uses. 3) Ability to toggle individual post's read status- Agree completely 4) Allow preference to use Google Optimiser when following full post links - Not that bothered about this as I use Opera mobile which optimises already, but it would be a nice option to have

| While I'm at it, can I add a 5th feature request? 5) Allow access to the clippings folder - I quite often clip things using the iphone version if don't have time to read it on my phone, but then later I may find the time and want to go through the clippings
