I have a FlashLoaded rssReader component for my Flash FLA.
I don't have a clue what to type into the "Component Inspector" for the "RSS Source."
I have a NewsGator Online free account.

What am I missing?

I'm the newest of all newbies ever.

WOW! I can't believe this!!!!!!!
You may consider me a "stupid person" but at least I wasn't rude.
I will be sure and cancel/uninstall my account with newsgator ASAP.
This is unbelievable. How insulting!!!!!
I won't bother you again.

I'm not really sure that "agarwalmk" meant to be insulting, but I'm sorry you felt insulted.

Just to clarify, this is an open forum where anyone can post.  NewsGator does not endorse any opinion stated here.  The only poster who are in any way affiliated with NewsGator are the forum administrators (who are identified as such in the left hand column.)

As to your original question, I'm assuming that no one answered because we don't have any specific knowledge of the product you were asking about (I certainly don't.)

As Lane said, the reply you were referring to was not made by anyone affiliated with NewsGator. I have removed it.

I haven't heard of this "component" thing either, but is it possible that it's a stand-alone reader (a la FeedDemon or NetNewsWire)? Unless I'm mistaken, something has to be done by the developers of the software and NewsGator to make stand-alone readers work with NewsGator. It's in the alpha stage with FeedDemon, for example. Otherwise, you have to use NewsGator only with a regular browser, Outlook or a mobile device.

Thank you to those who explained the forum process to me.

As for the Flash component, here is the link:
http://www.flashloaded.com/rssreader.php

I've used several Flash components before and understand installing and implementing them via the components panel on the Flash FLA.

The only thing I don't understand is what to type into the input box where is says to type in the "RSS Source."

I've tried newsgator manager > Edit Locations > OPML Public, and copied and pasted the OPML URL as the RSS Source - and several other ideas I thought might work.

I can make the component work when I copy and paste one individual xml URL into the the "RSS Source" - I was just trying to get more than one feed.

Anyway, long story short, I've paid a tech guy who's coming today who will handle it for me.

Thanks again to those who tried to help me and who explained the forum process.

It looks like what I was saying...the software is looking for individual feeds, not a "server" like system such as NewsGator (or Bloglines). Not all aggregators work with NewsGator. Most don't. Yet. I hope. ;-)
