I try to use the "Subscribe" bookmarklet when I can, but let's the review the steps to add a feed *and* organize it to a folder when it can't be autodiscovered:
1. Right-click the RSS link to copy the link location 2. In NGOL, click "Add Feeds" 3. Paste in the feed URL, and click "Quick Add" and you end up in the feed list where you can edit the feed to do everything *except* put it in a folder 4. Click the "Newsgator Online" tab 5. Click "Organize Feeds" 6. Click the name of the feed you just added, and sort it to folder you want
I saw someone made a NG right-click subscribe extension for Firefox but I can't get it to work. Doubt it would simplify the above process much, though.
Can you maybe add an option to put the feed into a folder somewhere around step #3? Thanks.

| One way around the lack of autodiscovery is to click on the link for the RSS feed, which will display the RSS content in your browser, and then use the autosubscribe bookmarklet. I'll look into adding a folder option to the bookmarklet. I think the NG right-click to subscribe extension in firefox is for NG/Outlook, not NGOS.

You misread my question. I'm not talking about autodiscovery. I can easily use the bookmarklet to subscribe to a feed. If it autodiscovers from the main URL, great. If not, I click directly on the RSS/Atom/Syndicate link. The issue is that once I'm there, the feed is added at the root level of the subscription list with no option to put it into a folder first. So I then have to manually navigate within my subscription to move the feed to the correct folder. In contrast, with Bloglines I right-click on the link/page to select the Bloglines subscription option and that takes me to a page where I can set the feed in the folder I want, as well as set whether it's public or private and other options. That is the more user-friendly way to do it, and I think NG should follow suit.
