Bold 9000 / 4.6.0.266 / ATT
I've had flawless experience with Newsgator for months.
This issue began for me 3 or 4 days ago. I get feed updates about 20% of the time now, with the same java.net.SocketException error most of the time.
I'll be patient ...
Update: In response to ihadmeavision ... I'm still getting the error as of 9:00pm CDT.

Same problem here with NG Go for Java (Nokia S60 phone).
Interestingly, FeedDemon works well and seems to be unaffected by the issue we are alle xperiencing on mobile devices.

I don't know if the problem has been solved, but today I've gotten no errors and the program is working as it always had. Fluke? Problem fixed?
Any consensus?

I was able to download my folder structure this morning, and even was able to view the titles to a handful of feeds, but as per the norm, I ended up with the error message, and then nothing worked after that.
It's noon here now, and I haven't tried again.

It wasn't working early this morning, but, based on your post, I tried it again @11:20am CDT and it was working perfectly. Only used it for about 5 minutes.
I'll trust, at this point, that all is well. Will work with it more late this afternoon. Thanks Deacon.

To all -
We have identified the problem and have temporarily implemented a solution. I say "temporarily" because what cause this issue was the introduction of a few new servers which were not communicating with a specific server that granted blackberry users access to their content. We've removed these servers from the cluster for the time being; however, we will be adding them back in once we have established the appropriate connection.
I will inform you all once we have reintroduced these new servers back into the loop.

Thanks for that Frank.
The fact that you know the problem, that there's an explanation, and that you will keep us informed makes all the difference in the world.
I'm happy.

Frank,
Thanks for that. I have used Newsgator for a few years now and recently started using the Newsgator Go on my Blackberry just as this issue crept up on us.
I have been using the application today for some time, and can confirm that the problem is in fact resolved for the time being. Thanks for the great effort. Hopefully you can get the issue resolved with the new servers.

I have been able to access my feeds for the last couple of days now.
I started going through withdrawals from this outage. Maybe I need to start carrying around more than one mobile device in case one goes down.
