I've noticed an issue on my iPhone NetNewsWire app. If I use the OSX app and add a new feed it never gets sent to my iPhone. I do have a lot of feeds that I follow. Around 100 maybe 150. I already check the settings section to see if any of the feeds are set not to sync but it says it should be syncing to all. I've also deleted the app from my iPhone and reinstalled it. It still pulls part of the feeds but seemed to pull some new feeds but left out others again. Is there a limit to how many feeds the iPhone app will support? Has anyone seen this issue?

Thanks for the help.

Do the new feeds have any unread items?

I am also getting this issue. NNW on my iPod Touch will only show some of my feeds, even though there are others with unread articles. I can't see any particular pattern yet. I've gone through the NewsGator Online "Settings" panel pretty extensively to make sure that the feeds are enabled for my iPod, and everything I can find indicates that they are.

Same problem here.. My Iphone is only showing 4 Feeds , when in fact I have a dozen or more I'm registered for. Am I right in assuming that only feeds with unread messages appear on iPhone, or should all registered feeds appear if unread messages or not.?

Love the application but if not accurate , I don't see the point in using it.. I don't see any input from Newsgator support staff.. There also seems there have been synching problems between iPhone and NetNewsWire desktop client from inception.. OR.. maybe its finger trouble or misunderstanding of application, either way, I hope I can get a resolution ..

Thanks

If a feed doesn't have unread messages, it won't show up in the iPhone version until it does have some unread messages.

(That said, we're also working on syncing fixes for the next releases of NetNewsWire for iPhone and for Mac.)

same here as well. i have a bunch of subscriptions with many unreads in them on my mac using NNW and they don't show up at all on my iphone.

i solved the problem with one feed by deleting the feed from NNW on my mac and adding again on the online newsgator interface. but this hasn't worked with other feeds.

any fixes for this?

Might be helpful to post WHICH RSS feeds are not synching.  It also may have something to do with your connection (WiFi, 3G, etc..).

If the feed can't reach the site for whatever reason, then it may skip that particular article.  I agree that the RSS feeds should ALL synch, but of ALL the APPS I have on my iPhone (even post 3.0 OS) NNW is probably the only one that is in fact perfect, it's the one that I can count on, so I am very surprised to see these types of posts, because I never have even a second of problems, but I have seen where my connection bars are low or connection is sketchy (not NNW fault) and some feeds don't come through, but when I resync everything is happy.

I wish NNW would have a 'go back previous article' button instead of a read next unread, sometimes I skip over on an article by accident, but I can't remember which one I just read, because it shows the entire thread.

example problem feed (friend's blog):

http://olcotts.blogspot.com/

I got curious, and added it as an ATOM rather than RSS, and it actually worked for me this time. I always saw it on Mac and Online, but never before in iPhone. I'll continue adding problematic feeds via ATOM when possible and see if that works around the issue.

Just to set the record straight, I really like NNW and NewsGator, and the ability to sync mac to iphone RSS is wonderful. Great product, and I am really happy to hear that you're working on the next iPhone update.

I'd love some more functionality on the iPhone app, including:

Go To Previous Unread (already requested in this thread)
Get read feeds
Clip
Flag

I am having this same issue and the answer is YES!

(also- will the new version have the ability to load feeds that have been read?)
