Hi All,
I've problems accessing a friends livejournal RSS feed. When I acceess the RSS url using firefoxs own RSS reader, I can see the list of entries. When I put the URL into NG, it seems to work (no complaints), but I get an empty page.
I've seen other posts and the FAQ about adding digest, but then that gives an error "Error: subscription could not be added. Please check the URL and try again."
When I view my friends posts, there is a Lock sign on the posts, so I'm guessing that means "private", and that firefox is authenticating automatically when i browse using its rss reader.
Anyone point me the right way ?

Can provide the feed in question, it's hard to determine if this is an issue on our end or not?
You might have to provide sign in credentials when subscribing to the feed if the blog is private, so if you have credentials re-add the feed in NGOL, but select from Step #2 to add custom credentials and see if this resolves your issue.

Hi Frank,
Its a friends LJ so im a little reluctant to broadcast it. I tried PMing you, but the site tells me access is denied.
I've tried adding my LJ credentials, but it makes no difference.

I am a newby... and am on a MAC and I recently downloaded newsgator because it is supposed to be MAC friendly. However, I must be really dumb as I cannot even figure out how to initiate a new post here without replying to somebody. I jus want to know how it all works. I note that there is no "contact us" option.

Dogguy,
what exactly do you want to know how what works and what exactly did you download because the newsgator online reader does not require you to download anything?
And for future reference you should always start a separate post/thread if your questions do NOT relate to the topic being discussed.
