I was not able to install the NewsGator Go! for Mobiles using the instructions on http://www.newsgator.com/Individuals/NewsGatorGo/DownloadInstructions.aspx
I have an AT&T Q9h with Windows Mobile 6.1. I just had to install an OS patch which wiped out the phone's memory, so I was starting the process from scratch.
Using the browser on the phone, I went to m.newsgator.com/d as instructed. The page was not the same as what was shown in the instruction screenshot where it gives an option to download and install NewsGator Go!.
Instead it was a login screen. When I entered my user name and password the first time, it got a critical error message (similar to another recent poster in this forum). I re-entered my credentials and the second time it logged into a web-type interface for viewing my RSS feeds. I tried multiple times with the same result. It never gave me the option to download the local reader.
I went to the m.newsgator.com website from my desktop computer browser and encountered the exact same thing. Maybe the website thought my phone was a desktop computer? There is a setting in the phone's browser to identify the device as a Handheld device or Desktop computer. I tried both options with the same result.
In searching the forums, I found that the latest .CAB file could be downloaded so I did that and installed the CAB file, so I am up and running now. I just had to figure it out on my own and thought I would post this message to point out the issue.
