You can download the 10.4 compatible version of NetNewsWire, which also includes FTP and MobileMe synchronization from the NNW Beta weblog:
http://nnwbeta.com/
Note that this version still includes NewsGator Online synchronization which will be unavailable after 8/31/2009. If you install it, please do not enable the sync functionality.

Although 3.1.7 offers FTP syncing, it's not easy to find. From the help system:
FTP syncing deprecated
In NetNewsWire 3.1, FTP syncing was deprecated. It will be removed entirely in 4.0.
The FTP syncing option now appears only if:
1) You're already using FTP syncing, or
2) You set a hidden pref to enable FTP syncing.
To set the hidden pref: quit NetNewsWire, then copy and paste the following into Terminal and hit return:
defaults write com.ranchero.NetNewsWire enableFTPSyncing 1
To turn off the hidden pref, repeat the above but with 0 instead of 1.

I'm a paid, registered customer of NetNewsWire for Mac(10.4). Will I still be supported by Newsgator, and if not, can I still migrate or sync my subs to Google News Reader, and how? Thanks, frankdenet
PS, will Google News Reader sync automatically to the NNW Lite versions I have on my Mac G4 laptops(OS 10.4)?

| Thanks. I already am using the 10.4 version of NNW. I can disable newsgator sync, but I take it from your response that I will then have to use Google RSS. If I do this, is it too late to export all my feeds to Google automatically? How about using Yahoo RSS instead? Thanks, frankdenet
