Hi,
I use newsgator online, and the iphone app.
I'm aware that the online is disappearing for me, and I've migrated the feeds across to Google. However, the newsgator note says that you'll still be able to sync between the two (google and iphone in my case) - but how? when I loaded the iphone app it logs into newsgator, not google. Theres no new app I can see in appstore for any google support.
So what have I missed?

The GR compatible app hasn't been released yet. In the interim, you can use GR's mobile optimized website. It's not as good as a dedicated app, obviously, but it works well enough while we're waiting for NNWi.

Hi Jack,
I presume you guys are in touch with the developer then? Any timeframe?
toplisek: re-read the posting on the Online page:
"In conjunction with the release of our latest versions of NetNewsWire and FeedDemon which synchronize with Google Reader...."

Well.. I just installed FeedDemon myself. And it syncs to google reader just fine.
And yes, my words came from the very clear announcement. Here it is in full:
NewsGator’s Online Reader will no longer be available for consumer use as of August 31, 2009.
In conjunction with the release of our latest versions of NetNewsWire and FeedDemon which synchronize with Google Reader, NewsGator will no longer be supporting our online reader for consumer use. Paid customers who utilize the online reader or our online platform will continue to be supported.
For free versions of the latest clients, please click the appropriate link:
* NetNewsWire
* FeedDemon
For detailed instructions on migrating your account to Google Reader and answers to other questions, please see our FAQ page

| toplisek, I'd suggest you start your own forum question - this is not really anything to do with my original question about iphone syncing...

adrianmarsh (8/18/2009) I presume you guys are in touch with the developer then? Any timeframe?
We sometimes talk to the developer, but he's pretty busy. In fact, he's so busy he hasn't updated his Dev Diary since the end of July. I'm not worried yet so I haven't bugged him about the NNWi release date
Please note that I am not actually employed by NewsGator, and my opinions should not be taken as their official stance on any matter. I'm just a happy FD user (since pre-1.0 alpha in 2003) helping out where I can.

Thanks for info - understood!
Its just a shame to see a nice system that worked well for me start to disintegrate.... I wonder if I'll have to go back to the days of... *shock*... paper-based news feeds...
