I've been facing some sync-ing problems since the google reader migration and finally I've got the time to do some investigation and pin point the problem.
The iPhone version of Net News Wire is clearly sync-ing with newsgator.com and the mac version is clearly sync-ing with google reader. The problem is that newsgator.com is not itself sync-ing with google reader and for the life of me I can't find an option to configure the iPhone App to use google reader nor an option on the Mac to sync with newsgator.com nor an option in newsgator.com to synch with google.
I undestand that newsgator free is being deprecated, so I wouldn't expect an option to sync with it google reader, but then, I'd expect the iPhone app to sync with it too. (I am running the latest version, further, I deleted it and reinstalled the make sure I'd get rid of all the data.
Any insight on the subject would be much appreciated, thanks.

currently NNW for iPhone does not yet sync with GR - there will be one released, but no ETR as of yet. Even if they weren't deprecating NGO, it wouldn't sync with anything - it itself was the sync platform, the clients synced with IT.

Hi, thanks for you reply.
I knew the iPhone App didn't sync with GR, but I expected the newsgator account would itself sync with GR (otherwise I wouldn't upgraded until the functionality was build onto the iPhone App).
It means then that there is NO way my mac and my iPhone can be in sync then? Perhaps I can downgrade the Mac version to a pre GR version, would that be possible?

like guioconnor I can't configure the iPhone Application to use google reader. I wonder when there will be one released, I will keep my eye out for the release date.
