Hi,
I just installed NetNewsWire 3.2 on an iMac running Leopard, purchased a serial number, and attempted to enter it. I got a dialog box with this message in it:
NetNewsWire was unable to install the eSellerate engine. Please contact support@newsgator.com for further information
Help, please.

I've sent an email to the NNW dev.

Incidentally I use 1Password on this machine which loads a WebKetExtension into NNW. I don't know if this has any bearing on the problem or not. Here's what's in the console log:
9/24/09 3:32:31 PM NetNewsWire[4372] Activating NetNewsWire extension (version 7643) from '/Applications/1Password.app/Contents/Extensions/WebKitExtension.bundle'
9/24/09 3:32:33 PM NetNewsWire[4372] Database (agilekeychain:/Users/jreese/Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain) load time: 0.298 (409 objects)

I have the same problem, which is not fixed in 3.2.1.
I have also e-mailed support@newsgator.com on 24th September, but no reply as yet...

| So I tried to Update from within NNW 3.1.7 and got a "network error". So I downloaded 3.2 and tried to enter the serial number there. I copied and pasted it from my original email so I know it's right. But the Save button never activated. So I'm anxious to hear the answer to this one too. (Also on Leopard.)

| Let me know if you receive a response from support. I've been trying to figure out if we're even entitled to support since it's not clear on the support page whether NNW users are entitled to direct support. I've been using this program for a long time, but to "upgrade" to the new version it's imperative that I have an efficient way of getting help. . though I guess the lack of response to your question is really answer enough.

Didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks so I e-mailed again, and this time got a reply saying it was an eSellerate problem and to contact them.
I have submitted a problem ticket to eSellerate and am now waiting on them... :/

Thanks for following up. Those ads aren't so bad, but they're exponentially annoying since I DID pay. And apparently I paid a much inflated price compared to others. But whatever. Water under the bridge and all.

Finally got this sorted with help from eSellerate, though in the end it was something I tried that seemed to fix it.
Logged in as a different user and the clean copy of NNW accepted the serial.
Then logged back in to my main account and the serial was accepted there as well.
Finally no ads (but still no Google Reader sync either)...
