Unlike the recent FeedDemon 3.0 upgrade, this upgrade on the iPhone gives you no option for leaving your authenticated feeds alone. No option to move them to an un-synched folder. You install, you give your gmail credentials, and bam: all those authenticated feed subscriptions disappear.
Essentially this upgrade removed what was an extremely useful work tool for me on the iPhone (access to about 50 or so authenticated feeds) and replaced it with an app that is not much better than accessing Google Reader in Safari.
It was bad enough that synchronization of authenticated feeds was disappearing. Hard to fathom how that serves your customers, but so be it. But to add insult to injury, you just wiped out my list of feeds on my iPhone with your upgrade.

I'm not going to speak to the removal of feeds, or the interface or any of those types of things. That's for the developer to respond to.
But I can tell you why the new version doesn't support authenticated feeds; because Google Reader doesn't. Definitely a downside to NewsGator turning off their sync services.
