I've used NNW for years. For some reason, the new version does not display certain feeds (Daring Fireball, for instance) even though the feeds are coming in correctly. Individual post have no data.
I've been able to prove with certainty that this is local to just one Mac. All others that I have access to work fine with 3.2.
But, when I attempt to wipe out all vestiges of the old NNW on the troublesome Mac, and install the new version, it still shows the problems with certain feeds. I've wiped prefs, I've dumped the Application Support folder for NNW. I've even created a new OS X user account. All with the same bad result.
So, clearly there's something bad hanging around. Any clues as to all files I should remove to be sure that the old NNW is gone, gone, gone?
Thanks.

| Pardon me if this seems obvious, but have you restarted your Mac? Some apps leave daemons hanging around.

Yes, restarted multiple times after trying variations of uninstalls.
Whatever it is, it's persistent. In pane 3, the feed item will display the head, the source and the date, but where content would be, it's "(No description.)"
Yet when I "dump subscription properties" in the scripts menu, all content IS included with the feed.
And, as noted previously, this issue is local to only this particular Mac. Two others in this house work fine. There is some deeply-buried bit that's screwing things up.
Anyone know where the license for the paid version lives? That's the only thing I haven't been able to find in my efforts to wipe out all traces of the previous install.

Anyone? This makes no sense. I have nuked anything with NetNewswire, Ranchero or Newsgator in its name. I even killed my old MarsEdit prefs, just in case.
And yet certain feeds, DF among them, will not display content, even though it's there in the feed.
Nobody here from NNW or Newsgator?

Wellllp, I gave up and moved over to 100% Google Reader.
I hated to leave my newsreader of choice for as long as I can remember, but I have to say that, now that I'm past the learning curve, I much prefer GR.

Ran into the same problem. Here is what you need to remove:
/Applications/NewNewsWire.app
~/Library/Application Support/NewNewsWire
~/Library/Preferences/com.ranchero.NewNewsWire.plist
~/Library/Caches/NetNewsWire
I used a program called Appzapper to do this. Did the trick!
