Videos embedded in posts are not being picked up.

I'm using FeedDemon version 3.0.0.41
IE version 8.0.6001.18702
I am syncing with Google Reader. It's happening in more than one feed that I commonly view videos in.
The option to view embedded videos and content is checked.

Can you let me know the URL of one of the feeds you're no longer seeing embedded videos in?

Thanks,

Actually, I just double checked, and apparently when they issued the updates, they didn't publish the embedded video with the posts. It's just coincidence.

Hey,

khristopher said that this was an issue with his feed, but I've stopped seeing embedded videos as well, in all of my feeds and even in the webpages I open in tabs. In other words, it doesn't matter whether I'm in newspaper view or not. The thing is, I don't know who's fault this could be. The way I see it, it could be some FD security setting (however, the Enable videos... setting is turned on), it could be some IE thing, or even some Flash update and what not.
This is happening on my WinXP SP2 machine with IE8 installed. My Win7RC machine works fine.
Any ideas what should I check?

Every since updating to the latest version ALL video in ALL feeds no longer show up. I have re-installed Flash and looked over every possible setting.

I know you said you checked every setting, but just to clarify: Under Tools->Options->Reading tab is "Enable Video and other embedded content" checked?

Do you see any kind of "placeholder" for the videos? First thing I would do is if you're running a firewall, remove FeedDemon from the firewall's exception list and re-add it - they do funny things sometimes when apps are upgraded. Second, I would re-install FeedDemon. Also, please post the FEED URL of one of the feeds that currently has a video that is not displaying.

Yes. The option to show videos is checked and a placeholder is present. Hovering over the link displays the video title. Here is something interesting though: I downloaded a couple of other RSS readers and they are ALL experiencing this behavior. In fact, using Outlook's own, built-in RSS reader also behaves exactly the same. Clearly, this is not a problem with FD! Although the timing of the problem coincides exactly to update of FD, I think Microsoft is behind this problem - as with the FireFox patch they pushed out unannounced! I'm looking further into this possibility.

Okay, so I tried another reader, and the embedded videos in the same feed are showing up, where they're not showing up in FeedDemon.
So it definitely is FeedDemon, because it worked before I updated to 3.0. The video option is enabled just as it always was, and my flash is fine as well.
I'd share the link with you that has the embedded video, but it's an adult link. I can PM it to someone if they want to see it for testing.

Kris, what RSS reader did you download that showed the vids? Send me the link to both the reader and the vid (adult content ok).
