Has anyone else lost the Command+W shortcut to close tabs after the last update? It now closes the whole application window which is driving me nuts.
Suggestions? I've seen one other person on twitter with this problem…

Cmd+W will close tabs unless you have the news item pane displayed in which case it will close the window.
Confirmed in 3.2.1 with Widescreen layout.
Update: Just had a thought about this. Are you running into the problem while trying to close multiple tabs (e.g., pressing Cmd+W multiple times)? If so, make sure you uncheck the "Browsing | Behavor | After closing a tab, return to news items" preference

Nope, it was when trying to close a single tab as usual and the other option is unchecked.
Having said that after a full restart of my machine it has righted itself. Most strange.
If it happens again I will post back?
