When you add a feed, there's a checkbox, "Sync this feed with Google Reader". Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any method to change this setting after the feed has been created.
The NetNewsWire help document only references NewsGator syncing, which is a bit disconcerting.
Any way to change google reader settings for existing feeds?

| Stellar support from the newsgator team. If you're adding a feature, the first order of business before releasing it should be documenting it and providing meaningful support to your users. Then talk about charging for it.
