Unfortunately, I have to echo the sentiment of some of the previous posters.  Prior to V3.0 I had no problems with any of my feeds or watches..everything updated quickly and functioned as promised.  Since the first beta version of 3.0 to the current V3.0.0.41, the feeds take hours to completely update.  The app usually freezes up my entire computer when I launch it.  This is not the same product I've been using for 3 years.  It is absolutely terrible.  Something must me wrong here with compatibility with other apps

My system details are as follows: IE version 8.0.6001.18702, Windows XP Pro V2002 Service Pack 3, Norton 360 antivirus Version 3.5.2.1

Please assist.  I'm going to be forced to find another reader and I have so much time invested in FeedDemon

Could you let me know how many feeds and unread items you have? Also, do things improve after you select File > Manage Cache and click the "Compact" button?

Thanks,

I have 404 feeds and 378 unread items.  Manage cache - compact database seems to have helped quite a bit.  Is there a maximum number of feeds, after which the app has trouble? Thanks for the recommendation.

Is there a maximum number of feeds, after which the app has trouble?

I've tested FeedDemon with several thousand feeds and it performed very well, even on slower systems - which is why these problem reports are so troubling.

Does it help if you add FeedDemon's database files (*.FDB) to Norton's list of file types to exclude when scanning?  I ask because during the FD3 beta, doing that helped a couple customers who were experiencing performace problems.

Best,

Nick, 3.0.0.45 is a big improvement, thanks for this! Syncing is faster and overall the program seems much more responsive.
