NetNewsWire froze on my system yesterday, and has not been able to work properly since. By not work properly, the application will come up and start to sync. It will then freeze within three minutes. Spinning beach ball until forced quit.
I am running Snow Leapard on a Mac Pro, in 64 bit mode. I am running 1Password.
I am taking the first assumption that a data file it relies on is corrupted. Attempting to remove and reinstall the application. I believe I am missing a few files when I go on my deletion spree, as reinstalling the application shows that the feeds are all still known.
I am removing:
/Applications/NetNewsWire.app
/HOME/Library/Application Support/NetNewsWire
What am I missing here? The plan is to remove NetNewsWire, reinstall it, and tell it to sync with Google RSS feeds.
I am running 3.2a btw. Ran most of the betas, and have been running the program since I was a paying subscriber for the past couple of years.

I found the answer to my own question, posting the results in the event that it helps someone else out!
In order to completely uninstall NetNewsWire, remove the following files:
/Applications/NewNewsWire.app
~/Library/Application Support/NewNewsWire
~/Library/Preferences/com.ranchero.NewNewsWire.plist
~/Library/Caches/NetNewsWire
I removed these files, and it did the trick. Moving a fresh download of the NetNewsWire.app to the application folder and invoking it prompted for my Google Reader login in, as well as returned the ads. Putting my license key in also had the desired effect.
I used an application called appzapper to get this information. You can get it here: http://www.appzapper.com/
This is an old version, but seemed to work fine for this purpose on my 64bit Snow Leopard installation.
You get 5 free zaps before the developer requests a measly $12.95. Worth paying for in my opinion!
