| This is a (very) minor feature request. I'll often go through some of my folders that contain high-frequency feeds marking them as read, relying on watches to pick up items of particular interest. I'll right-click on the folder and choose 'Mark folder read'. However, with other folders I'll want to see which particular feeds have unread items, and have found that I'll accidentally still right-click. Would it be possible to add 'Expand folder' to the context menu?

Sorry, Alan, but I can't see adding a separate menu item for this. The more menu items there are the more overwhelming FeedDemon becomes (especially for new customers), so I really want to avoid adding any menu items that aren't critical.

I have to agree with Alan, Nick. It is one of the standard options in Windows itself whenever you right-click any folder in Explorer, so I don't know that it's "overwhelming" the user as much as making it standard with the OS.

I didn't mean to suggest that this single menu item would be overwhelming - simply that each additional menu item (or toolbutton) adds to the perceived complexity of the UI, so I try to avoid adding ones that aren't critical. Of course, if more people request this, it'll become critical

I'm not really worried about it, Nick. My suggestion was made partly out of exasperation with myself for having right-clicked instead of double-clicked a couple of times. It must have delayed my reading all of 30 seconds. I was slightly surprised not to see an 'Expand' menu item, though, because it's a standard Windows feature, as critter says.
