I have upgraded to FD3 (and bought a license, thanks Nick).
I have discovered a possible bug when printing newspapers. If I print a newspaper, it drops the last line of text from each page. The printout is otherwise fine, except for the one dropped line. Depending on the situation, it sometimes prints just the very top of the characters on the last line.
If I go to the article on the site, from within FD, and print the page it prints fine. Printing from other browsers and outside of FD works fine, so I don't think it's the printer configuration or driver. I never experienced this problem with 2.7.

| I'm not able to reproduce this. Which version of IE are you using? Do you see the same problem when using "Print Preview," and if so, could you post a screenshot of the print preview? Best,

I'm using IE8 and Windows 7. I used FD2.7 for a brief time on Windows 7 before upgrading and I don't think it happened then, but I can't be 100% certain of that.
I have attached a screen shot of the print preview. In this case it clips the last line right in half. Other times it drops the line completely and the next page starts with the one line missing.

OK, that's coming from IE, it has nothing to do with FD. If you upgraded your IE, the margins were probably reset. You should be able to adjust the printing margins by grabbing the white lines with the arrows on either side and moving them up/down until more of the page is displayed. Alternately, click the "gear" button in the print preview which will bring up the print settings and change your margins manually (IIRC, they default to .75" on each side). Alt-E in print preview will also toggle the header/footer lines on and off.

I would have thought that too, except that:
1 - If I go to the post itself (at the website) instead of viewing it in the newspaper, it prints without dropping the line.
2 - Printing from IE, outside of FD works fine too.
The margins are set to .75 all around.

Let me be clear: the print/print preview dialog is driven wholly by the embedded IE. Have you done things I suggested above?

I checked the margins and they are currently set to 0.75 all around. I tried removing the headers and footers and that made no difference. I adjusted the margins to avoid clipping that last line, but regardless of whether I move it up or down, a single line of text is still dropped.
I have included 4 screenshots to better explain this. NewspaperPage1 and Page2 show the previews from printing the newspaper itself. You can see the last line getting clipped. FromWebPage1 and Page2 are the previews from clicking on the article link from within FeedDemon, and then printing the article itself. Notice how no lines are lost. This is all done within FD, using the embedded IE browser. I did not make any changes to FD or the browser between these 2 sets of screenshots.
Why would IE clip the newspaper, but not the web page?
It seems like FD is creating the newspaper page too long.

As a follow up, I will say that I tested this at work today. Running FD 3, under Windows XP SP3, IE8, with a completely different printer and driver, and the same thing happened.
The last line of most of the pages gets cut off. It doesn't happen on every page. It depends on where the graphics are in the post and sometimes a natural break in the post occurs at the page break so you don't notice it, but it is definitely happening.
So it now seems like it must be a FD or IE issue. Since the posts print properly from IE within FD, I have to believe there is something about the way FD is making the newspaper that is causing it.
