Hi,
thanks for this great software, one could only wish such RSS reader
I have some request, and can't tell if it's too subjective:
Half of my channels are forum feeds, and I group them by date, but if I read some feed and want to see other posts from that forum topic, I switch to grouping by Title and it's hard to find the feed that I was reading. So I would like to suggest that the selected feed (the feed that I was reading) should get focus when changing the grouping.
I don't know if I'm clear so here is example:
I'm reading new feed with title "Sharpening filter on x264 720/1080p" and I would like to see on which post it is replying, so I select group by Title. But now I lost the sight of the feed that I was reading and have to find that topic manually in 30 pages newspaper i.e.
And one minor minutiae: When collapsing groups the view isn't updated with post items - it works only per page basis, i.e. I've set FD to show 15 items per page (headlines only) and today I have 30 feeds; when I collapse group "Today" the page is empty - it isn't updated with feeds from "Yesterday" group, but I have to go to page 2, and than collapsing is reseted (there also items from "Today")
I hope it's not too confusing because English is not my native language.
Thanks for reading

Sorry to bring this up again but I was thinking about above suggestion differently, more clear now:
I don't know how many users are forum readers but I think that it would be useful to introduce grouping (based on title) as optional view.
Just imagine sorted feeds by date but grouped according their Title (as they are grouped by days in this case)
Last active topic would bring all topic posts in view. It would be easy to follow forum topic discussion while getting latest post
Apologies again for bumping

| I'm afraid I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. In your second post it sounds like you're asking for a "group by title" feature, but as your first post mentions, you can already group by title in the newspaper. Can I ask you to explain again what you're suggesting? Thanks,
Nick Bradbury

Thanks for answering, Nick
It's hard for me to express in English, but I'll try again: "Grouping by Title" is sorted alphabetically and I think it could be useful if it (Grouping by Title) could be sorted by the date of it last item (forum post). I tried to make example screen-shot of what I'm talking about:
Grouped by Title (sorted alphabetically) as it is now:

Grouped by Date (sorted by date) as it is now, just to show you recent posts:

Now if I want to track (follow) the first post I need to manually browse till I find posts which starts by "R" - and they are at page 23 for example:

So the more clear idea was request for option to sort "Grouping by Title" by it last post.
I don't know if it is easy to implement or if you'll find it useful as I do, but I hope so
Thanks again for taking interest

Ah! OK, I get it now - you simply want to have the posts sorted by date in descending order, so that the most recent posts are shown first. Doing that will require some work, but it definitely makes sense (and I'm pretty sure you're not the first to ask for it).
I'll experiment with this to see how it would work, and if all goes well I'll make this change in the next build.
Thanks,

thanks for new version and implemented filtering based on keywords, I just want to point that I tried Outlook (regarding CPU issues posted some days ago) and the way it works is just the way I described in OP:
- you read some new thread post, then click on title, and it's grouped by title while you are still focused at the same post you were reading
well, I'm sold, good luck
