| I've got both Firefox (3.54) and IE8, and I'm using FD 3. If I come across an RSS (orange link) on a web page in Firefox, and I click it, FF politely asks where I want to load it, I select FD, and it pus in all the info. If I do the same thing in IE, it seems that I only have 2 choices: read it in IE, or forget it -- oh yeah, I can copy the link and enter it manually. Am I doing something all wrong here, or forgetting something? Is thee a way to make this process more streamlined? I had tried the toolbar sometime back, but it didn't seem to really resolve anything... I've got to be doing something wrong here I know, because I cannot believe that such a great program wouldn't have a resolution for this. What can/should I do here? Any help will be greatly appreciated... Regards, Chuck Billow

I think this is a problem with IE8, in that it doesn't recognize the existence of other readers. Though I must admit a little Googling didn't turn up any confirmation of that.

Since FeedDemon embeds Internet Explorer as its browser, perhaps you'd like to try using FeedDemon as your browser instead of IE8? This is what I do, and I find it a real step up to have an RSS-aware browser. For example, if you're browsing a page in FeedDemon which offers an RSS feed, FeedDemon will display an orange RSS icon in the address bar so you can quickly subscribe to it.

Nick -
Even that doesn't work. IE8 just displays the xml.

so you're saying when you browse to a given site WITHIN FeedDemon's browser and click an RSS icon, FD doesn't start the subscription wizard and instead displays the raw xml?
