How can I change the background color of the Subscription list? The option seems to have been removed, and only a color theme drop-down with few options is there now.

You can do this manually if you need to.
The themes are in a "data\themes" directory inside the FeedDemon installation dir (e.g. "c:\program files\FeedDemon\" .
Make a copy of one of the themes (unless you want to play with an existing one). The directory name is the theme's name from within FeedDemon.
Open the file "themedata.xml" . The color that you want is "feedbar", with an hexadecimal RGB value for the color.
Then just change theme within FeedDemon to your new (or modified) theme.
