All my feeds have quit updating and newsgator isn't showing up in the top menu section of Outlook 2003. The feeds are still listed on the side in the News folder, but empty. Also if I click on the News folder, in the message window is this: Most Recent PostsNewsGator has not been initialized in this session; the most likely cause for this is NewsGator is running in trial mode, and the trial has expired. Also, you cannot set the NewsPage to be your startup folder in Outlook when using the trial version of NewsGator. I have rebooted, restarted, and a couple other things. Also, when I start Outlook, nothing comes up telling me that it is a trial version (which it ins't) or give me the opportunity to re-enter a validation key. any ideas? thanks.

"All my feeds have quit updating and newsgator isn't showing up in the top menu section of Outlook 2003" There is two possibilities here that I can think of. #1 Outlook has disabled NewsGator. To resolve this in Outlook select Help | About Microsoft Office Outlook | Disabled Items... . If you see NewsGator in the list, select and click enable. Close and restart Outlook and you will be set. #2 You may be running into an activation problem that was resolved with the hotfix. I would say click the NewsGator button to verify the version, but the button is not there... So check number one first, let me know, and we'll go from there.

Thanks for your response. There are no disabled items in my Outlook. (2003 .. SP1) I have been looking around my harddrive ... and it would seem that I have all the newsgators files and it is still listed in my Programs, but there is no .exe button that makes it go. I did, however, find "NGFeedExt.exe" in C:\Program Files\Newsgator. larry

Try downloading the service release www.newsgator.com/downloads.aspx You can install this over your existing release. See if this resolves it for you. If not go to start -> All Programs and execute the diagnostic. Send the results to me support@newsgator.com. Copy in this forum post pls.

Hey Larry - Sometimes Outlook disables addin's and does not add them into the "Disabled Items". Running a repair on the NewsGator installation will re-enable the plugin again and everything will work. The reason why NewsGator Outlook Edition doesn't have an exe is because it's an addin to Outlook, so it's only a dll. Anyhow - glad to hear your up and running again!
