Basically instead of having folders can we have a system so I apply tags to each of my RSS feeds and then they are organized as virtual folders?
Folders are dead in my opinion, and the tagging revolution will start once vista comes out and people start using the virutal folders feature.
Also when are you guys going to start working on a new UI? I frankly don't like the one you currently have, but I am loving Feed Demon tho!
And think about it like this, if you sync up tags as well then all the meta data (tags) i assign to my feeds in feed demon should sync up to newsgator and visa versa.
Let me know what you think, i can elaborate further on any ideas presented.

By now you're probably thinking you're being ignored - sorry about that! The truth, though, is that we've been considering something along these lines for quite a while 
As you can probably tell from FeedDemon's UI, I prefer a simple categorized view over an expandable treeview. And I definitely think tagging feeds with multiple categories and then using those categories to define the view is even more powerful (esp. with the creation of "dynamic categories" - ex: most unread items, most often viewed, etc.).
(Of course, this is something for consideration down the road rather than for the current version.)

Sweet, all I wanted to hear. Feedlounge which is in private beta is doing just what you/i basically mentioned. i'm not in the beta but just a heads up on the competition.
now the next obvious question: timeline?
I don't want June 4th 2006 just be honest and say 3Q 06 or whatever you think is a good approximation.
i hate hearing "when it's done" lol

| I just want to add my support to this feature request. Tags are great. I much prefer NewsGator Online to Google Reader beta (http://www.google.com/reader) but I do love the tagging in the Google way of doing things.
